Student Experience
By supporting Student Experience, you can inspire students to think bigger, travel further, and have a lasting impact that goes beyond the classroom.
The Chancellor’s Fund supports projects run by students, staff, clubs, or societies that might not get funding elsewhere but have the potential to have a huge impact at UofG and globally. Thanks to our supporters, we award funds twice a year to projects looking to enhance the student experience, improve the learning environment, tackle sustainability, promote academic advancement, and improve the University as a whole.
Being at university is so much more than lectures and exams. The Chancellor’s Fund recognises this and supports projects that encourage students to try new things, push themselves, and be part of something bigger. It helps widen access to internships overseas, field trips, and expeditions that introduce students to new cultures and ideas. It can step in and fund areas we take for granted like the student newspaper or clubs and societies. Most of us will have experienced the fund's reach, whether it's from the gardens it's helped plant or the buildings it's supported, without even knowing.
However, in recent years, the number of applications has been rising and the costs for these projects continue to grow. There is more demand than ever for the Chancellor’s Fund, and your support is needed to ensure we can continue to enhance all aspects of life at UofG.
